PITTSBURGH, Aug. 20, 2018 - United States Steel Corporation (NYSE: X) was honored to welcome Indiana Gov. Eric J. Holcomb, Gary Mayor Karen Freeman-Wilson, Gary Common Council President Ronald Brewer and several other officials to its Gary Works facility last week to announce a significant investment in the plant. With the increases in investment due to U. S. Steel’s $2 billion asset revitalization program, a minimum of $750 million in capital investment will be made to modernize and enhance Gary Works.
