• Weldability—good welding characteristics
• Fatigue Performance—high-strength steels have good resistance to fatigue due to their relatively high yield strengths, making HSLA is a good candidate for durability-sensitive components

• Applications—HSLA materials are typically found on structural parts of the vehicle, as most HSLA materials have very limited formability characteristics. The materials are found on rocker inners, b/c pillar reinforcements and cross members
