What Makes Us: Justin
Justin knows U. S. Steel products are everywhere—from the appliances in our homes to the steel studs hidden behind the walls. At Mon Valley Works – Fairless Plant, he sees how the work his team does becomes part of everyday life, often in ways people never notice. He also sees a safety culture that’s lived every day. Justin’s story is a reminder that the steel we make—and the people who make it—help keep our world moving.

What Makes Us: Jordan
Jordan first came to U. S. Steel as an intern and knew she wanted to return. When the opportunity came, she jumped at the chance. At U. S. Steel's Mon Valley Works - Clairton Plant, she found a team eager to help her learn and grow, including people with decades of experience who are willing to explain, demonstrate and pass down what they know. For Jordan, that spirit of teamwork is helping position U. S. Steel for another 125 years.

What Makes Us: Payton
Payton may have followed his father to U. S. Steel, but he found his own reasons to stay. After serving in the Air Force Reserves, he brought that experience leading under pressure to U. S. Steel’s Midwest Plant and discovered a career he could see himself building for the long haul. Now, with his younger brother finding opportunities at U. S. Steel, too, Payton's story reflects how one generation can open the door for the next.

At U. S. Steel’s Great Lakes Works, Nathaniel found a career that gave him the opportunity to build a better life for his family and a team that shows up for one another when it matters most. Through the ups and downs of the steel industry, he’s seen that same determination to keep showing up, working together and moving forward, no matter what comes next.

What Makes Us: Cory
At U. S. Steel’s Minnesota Ore Operations – Keetac, Cory has built a career in the same place he grew up. Mining gave him the opportunity to raise his family on the Iron Range, and today he takes pride in knowing the steelmaking process starts with the work happening there. From the pit to the pellets shipped to U. S. Steel’s mills, Cory’s story reflects the role Keetac plays in something much bigger, helping make the products people rely on every day.
