PITTSBURGH, May 29, 2020 - United States Steel Corporation (NYSE:X) today released its 2019 Sustainability Report, detailing its accomplishments in Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) issues of importance to the company and its stakeholders. The report explores how the company’s “best of both” strategy is transforming U. S. Steel into a sustainable, competitive business that will continue to contribute to the future well-being of its employees, customers, suppliers, partners, stockholders and communities in which it operates.
“ESG and sustainability-focused initiatives are top priorities for our company,” said U. S. Steel President and Chief Executive Officer David B. Burritt. “By integrating these priorities with our strategy of ‘best of both’ integrated and mini mill technologies, we are building a truly sustainable future for U. S. Steel and our stakeholders.
