Biography

Arne Jahn is U. S. Steel's Vice President - Treasurer & Chief Risk Officer and is responsible for coordinating finance, treasury, and capital markets initiatives, including ratings agency relationships, as well as Insurance and Enterprise Risk Management initiatives for the corporation. He plays a supporting role in strategic initiatives and serves on the Corporation’s Pro-Tec JV Management Committee, as well as a United States Steel and Carnegie Pension Fund Board Member.

Mr. Jahn joined U. S. Steel's Corporate Finance team in 2004 and advanced through a series of increasingly responsible roles in Treasury and Corporate Finance sections at both headquarters and European locations, including an assignment at U. S. Steel Košice. He was named Treasurer & Chief Risk Officer in August 2016.

Before joining U. S. Steel, Mr. Jahn gathered experiences on the ground in the United States and Europe with First Chicago NBD and Commerzbank, and was a consultant to the World Bank’s Prototype Carbon Fund.

Mr. Jahn has a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Carnegie Mellon University as well as a B.S. in Finance and a B.A. in German from Santa Clara University.
