Biography

Sharon joined U. S. Steel in September 2025 as Vice President, Chief Accounting Officer & Controller. 

With more than 25 years of experience driving financial strategies at publicly traded companies, Sharon brings deep expertise in accounting, controllership, corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, financial forecasting, and risk management. 

Directly prior to U. S. Steel, Sharon served as the Vice President and CFO of Sterling Infrastructure, a publicly traded infrastructure company with over $2B in sales.  Before that, she was the Chief Accounting Officer at Dycom Industries, a $4B telecommunication construction company. Sharon began her career at the Big 4 accounting firm, Deloitte & Touche, before transitioning to industry in the financial and accounting function of several public companies in the medical device sector. 

Sharon is a CPA, licensed in the state of Oklahoma and was a member of the American Institute of Public Accountants. She received her bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the University of Central Oklahoma.
