Slab production at U. S. Steel is a 100% continuous cast operation. Our continuous casters supply our hot strip mills with the best quality slabs produced anywhere in the world. In addition, hot strip mills at the Gary, IN, Fairfield, AL and Mon Valley, PA plants are producing world-class, hot rolled products. We will continue to update our facilities and processes as new technologies develop. Hot Rolled sheet steel is a large and important part of our product line.
