Typical Applications
USS Cold-Rolled Steel Sheet is manufactured to provide a steel sheet product that possesses very specialized properties to meet the end use requirements of many applications. It can be made to meet the simplest forming requirement or the most difficult deep draw or anything in between. It is available in high strength grades to meet the needs of applications that require high load-bearing properties. The surface quality can be controlled to allow the product to be used for applications that require the most demanding high quality after painting. It can be manufactured to meet rigid dimensional tolerances. It can be manufactured to meet very high flatness requirements.

Typical applications include: automobile parts including exterior and interior parts including roofs, for example, which require excellent surface finish; appliance parts including highly formable parts, parts with good dent resistance, parts that demand a high surface finish and high strength parts; furniture parts including structural strength for upholstered furniture and exposed parts of metal furniture; computer-cabinet hardware; small appliance parts; and light industrial applications such as tool boxes, shelving, and lighting. These examples are just a partial listing of the many, many applications that Cold-Rolled Steel Sheet products are used for in today’s world.
