Dimensional tolerances for Cold Rolled Motor Laminated Sheet are
the same as those for Cold Rolled
Sheet steel.
Of special interest to users of Cold Rolled Laminated Sheet is
the cross-sectional profile of the sheet. Severe thickness
variations can cause poor stacking performance
|
of the laminations. Also, excessive variations can cause
assembly problems and inconsistent lamination-to-lamination linking
when interlocking dies are used. USS Cold Rolled Lamination Sheet is
processed to minimize deviation from the ideal rectangular
cross-sectional profile. However, some amount
|
 |
of variation does
exist. The terms used to define the cross-sectional characteristics
are: crown, edge taper, feather edge, and gamma. The largest
variations occur near the edges of the shipped coil.
