Tolerances

 
U. S. Steel Terne Sheet and NI-TERNE Sheet is a hot-dip coated product and thus, the tolerances listed below are applicable. Hot-Dip Coated Sheet
U. S. Steel Hot-Dip Coated Sheet is produced to meet the dimensional tolerances as shown in the following Tables (I-IV). If your application requires improved tolerances for performance reasons, please inquire.
 
Thickness is measured at any point on the sheet no less than one inch from an edge.

Camber Hot-Dip Coated Sheet Coils
Camber is the greatest deviation of a side from a straight line. The measurement is taken on the concave side with a straight edge. The camber tolerance for sheet in coils is 1/2 inch in any 20 feet of length.
