GALVALUME® Sheet
Typical Applications

U. S. Steel GALVALUME® sheet is recommended when a high level of corrosion resistance is very important: Applications include pre-engineered metal buildings, industrial roofing and siding, air-conditioning equipment, automotive under-body parts, building panels, electrical boxes, farm equipment and machinery, walk-in coolers, furnace parts, guide rails, heating equipment, home laundry appliances, outdoor signs, playground equipment, small appliances, vending machines, and wall panels.

GALVALUME® sheet can be used for applications that require good corrosion resistance at elevated temperatures. Whereas Galvanized sheet should not be used at temperatures of 500°F and higher, GALVALUME® sheet continues to perform exceptionally well at temperatures as high as 750°F. Higher temperature applications have been used, but premature degradation of the coating may be experienced.
