West End SWMA
The West End SWMA encompasses approximately 486 acres and includes several former waste management areas and materials storage areas associated with the West End Waste Management Area. Two Interim Status RCRA-regulated units, HWD-5 and HWT -2, are included in the West End SWMA. There are also several other areas formerly used for disposal of sludges generated at the Terminal Treatment Plant (TTP) in the Steel and Tin Mill, and other wastes from various treatment facilities. The Electrogalvanizing Line (EGL) is also located in this SWMA.



Current Status: Phase I SAP approved by EPA. Investigation scheduled for Winter 2005.
