Title:
  Community Involvement Team Effort (CITE) 

Goals 
For CITE to facilitate a dynamic, open forum to communicate, educate, involve, and interact with the public on issues related to Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) Corrective Action at U. S. Steel Gary Works. 

Issues 
RCRA Corrective Action at U.S. Steel Gary Works (RCRA is a set of federal laws that the United States Environmental Protection Agency (U.S. EPA) administers in order to ensure that wastes are managed in an environmentally sound manner. RCRA governs activities at facilities that treat, store or dispose of hazardous waste. The RCRA Corrective Action Program provides a step- by- step process that facilities can follow to assess environmental conditions and choose the best clean-up solution where necessary.)

Meeting Rules:
Only issues on the Agenda will be discussed at each meeting. 
Public comment will be limited to items on the agenda. 
Meetings will be open for public comment, to be managed by the facilitator. 
Each meeting will end with requested Agenda items for the next meeting.
The Agenda will be received by members one week prior to a scheduled meeting. 
The CITE group name will not be used in association with a publicly distributed document until CITE members have reviewed the document for distribution. 
Meeting minutes will be distributed to CITE group members for comments. Comments will be returned from the CITE group to USS via email. The revised meeting minutes will be distributed with the agenda and approved at the start of the next meeting. 
Meetings will be advertised to the public. 
Meetings will be limited to two hours. 
Meetings will be facilitated by a USS Staff member. 
Meeting information will be distributed to members by e-mail.
