TRIP 590/600 Steels

TRIP 590/600 steel is recommended for medium-strength structural parts responsible for crash energy management whenever superior formability is required.

Typical Mechanical Properties for TRIP 590/600

Product Yield Strength [MPa] Tensile Strength [MPa] Elongation [%] n-value 10%-UE True Stress/Strain Curve FLD Curve
 HDGA 400 625 30.0 0.23 N/A N/A

Example of Stress/Strain Curve

Forming Limit Curve

Formability of 590/600T steel is much better than conventional HSLA steel of equivalent grade. Experimental FLC will be available in the future.

Bake Hardening

Combine Effect of Work Hardening (WH) and Bake Hardening (BH)
for 590/600T HDGA Steel in a Typical Paint Baking Cycle

Yield strength of 590/600T HDGA steel increases more than 75 MPa after deformation to 2% and baking in a typical paint baking cycle.
