Dent Resistance Testing


Our lab has state-of-the-art dent test equipment.  It is capable of simulating both static and dynamic denting phenomena that occur in parking lots, such as door and shopping cart impact, or happen during in-plant handling, such as when one panel impacts another or a panel is dropped onto a holder or conveyor. The equipment is also used to determine the panel oil canning load and panel stiffness as well as simulate palm printing during the closing of a hood or decklid/liftgate.  All tests can be performed on body panel sub-assemblies, drawn panels or lab generic panels.
